Christ Disciples Ministry is a Bible-believing church that believes in the ruling and reigning authority of Jesus Christ. We train believers of Jesus Christ by teaching them how to apply Biblical principles to live life under the lordship of Jesus Christ. Worship services on Saturdays.

Why worship on a Saturday? Because we believe God is stirring a movement to reach out to those who simply can't make it to Sunday Worship. With today's pace of life and the number of people who are tied up on Sunday mornings, this gives "you and your family" an alternative opportunity for weekend worship.

MISSION STATEMENT

Christ Disciples Ministry is a family-oriented, Bible-teaching local church within the Body of Christ. Our God-given mandate is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. We are a ministry committed to service to the people, by the people. We believe in the mandate Jesus gave to His disciples as recorded in Matthew 28:19: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Our approach to ministry is holistic in nature as we seek to address the needs of spirit, soul, and body as outlined in scripture in 1 Thessalonians 5:23 and Matthew 25:35-40.

Pastor Hendrix

Pastor Ulysses Hendrix

Our Senior Pastor, Reverend Ulysses G. Hendrix, is a passionate teacher of God’s word. He is known by all as a gentle, approachable, and loving man of God. Pastor Hendrix and his wife Mary have eight adult children, eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in 1978 and on April 7, 1980, he preached the Gospel for the first time as a licensed minister.

For the past 30 years, he has conducted worship services at Western Wayne, Huron Valley, Mound, and The Thumb Correctional facilities with numerous decisions for Jesus Christ. On June 10, 2001, he was ordained as Assistant Pastor of Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan under the leadership of Pastor Claude A. May.

Pastor Hendrix’s Theological preparation includes the completion of General Pastoral Studies at William Tyndale Bible College, Church Ministry program certificate from the Evangelical Training Association, and the completion of Biblical Counseling training at Christian Research & Development.

In the year 2020, Pastor Hendrix celebrated 42 years as a born-again Believer! He still believes, wholeheartedly, that the BEST is yet to come!
